Objective To explore the current status of job-esteem among junior nurses and to provide references for formulating targeted measures.
Methods A total of 300 junior nurses were surveyed using a general information questionnaire, the Job-Esteem Scale for Nurses in Hospital, and the Safety Organizing Scale.
Results The job-esteem score of junior nurses was (3.35±0.91).Regression analysis results showed that safety organization, the level of family support for work, and the degree of harmony with colleagues were identified as influencing factors of job-esteem among junior nurses (all P<0.05).
Conclusion The job-esteem of junior nurses is at a medium to low level.Managers should create safety culture in hospital, and help nurses to obtain coworker support and family support, ultimately enhancing their job-esteem.
